Would that be a wise move? Last thing you need is your gun talking in the middle of a battle and giving away your position.

not really, it depends on the AI's personality which can vary from timid and shy to loud and arrogant and anywhere inbetween

Better yet, make a Bluetooth earpiece with it, and make it like JARVIS from Iron Man. Only the gunner himself will be able to hear the weapon talk then.

I had my UMP .45 reconfigured with nano-tech, it's personality resembles Ikaros from Sora no Otoshimono.

Another note, It usually takes 2-3 days (50 whole hours) of using the gun until the AI is fully synchronized with the user. Meaning that the gun will be able to anticipate what will happen and adjust to benefit the user. Be it, switching firing settings or even calling another unit(if he/she has also has a fully synched weapon as well) to assist.
