my question is have you played any visual novels or sim games? if so what?
what are your favorites? why?
lastly where do you go to find them(stores,web sites,companies,etc...)?

I've played visual novels like shuffle and katawa shoujo; and i've played sim games like sim girls and arching dreams.

Katawa Shoujo aka Cripple girls

Hanako best girl but her route didn't last long enough and the one time she got nailed it felt like and resembled rape. Lilly's route best route, mostly because she took the babygravy like a pro.

Shizune's had the least amount of options and most dialogue so it was TEAL;DEER and boring. Misha was gagging for it the entire time like a total cockslut, that's why I gave her the D. Shame it was the bad route.

Quite a few. Grisaia no Kajitsu, Clannad, KS, LittleBusters, and quite a few others.

I like VN's with long routes so characters will get quite a bit of development. No favorites because the stories and characters are sufficiently complex its hard to make a significant comparison between games.

The internet is a good place to get VN's.

but all jokes aside kenji was the best character.

Sim Girls was a blast. Still remember myself spending a whole week trying to get all endings.

lol me too. i think the only one i did not completely successfully finish is the harem ending.

Hoo boy, so much wrong with this thread, I don't know where to start.

1. Like Cruz pointed out, this is noot the right place to make a thread regarding visual novels. We have an entire section dedicated to VN talk and it only takes a little bit of lurking to find.

2. This is for your own good: stay away from Funny Games or most any other flash "sim games", with the exeption of some in Newgrounds. I say this because there are loads more real sim games and eroges out there that you can get for free as well. In short, instead of playing the really bad Transfer Student on Newgrounds, you can instead find and play Onna Kyoushi Collection, where the pictures are taken from (the real thing is voiced too).

3. Bookmark http://vndb.org/ and learn about more and better VNs out there. No offence, KS is good, but it's pretty damn entry level for a VN, and I can't really take anyone's opinion seriously if KS is their favourite (yet I've barely played many myself, woo hypocrisy).

4. I hope you can torrent. If so, use http://sukebei.nyaa.se/ for visual novel and eroge torrenting. Just another useful site to know, really.

Regardless, might as well put in my opinion: Shizune's my kind of girl, had the best Act 1 ending, but the worst route, which is a damn shame. I'd go for Lilly then Hanako after that (Lilly best route though).

I haven't played much, but I really like Maji de Watashi Koi ni Shinasai (shortened to Majikoi). Is it because of the crazy plot? The well-written and well-voiced characters? The fact that I really value friendship so I hold this VN exceptionally close to me? A combination of all those and more, really. It's a good example of a really well-made VN (making the huge file size worth it).
