So I'm sorta new to all of this and while my post count might not be high enough yet, there is still plenty of time. But regardless, having read the rules I have this basic question:
How is a claim determined to be valid? As in, if several people make the same claim at the same time, which one of them gets it?

Pretty much a case of first come/first serve. When a round starts up people make their claims and in that case the person who's post is first wins. Long as that person has properly stated where the character is from and is qualified to make a claim.

So what you're saying is that your claim is only acknowledged by the order of posts, regardless that they may have posted at the same time? If so, I'm down with that.

If you post first, have 200 posts and have a picture and name the anime/game/vn/younameit then you get the claim.

Correct. For example, you'll notice a lot of people posting in just the span of a minute, during the first round. Whosoever gets the first post for a certain waifu, provided the waifu is legible and the claim is legit/valid, gets the waifu.

Nobody is ever going to claim Love Machine so I'm fine.

Just make the reclaims available, I mean doesn't matter if people get to 400 posts, they don't get to claim, right? also, if people spam their way to 400 posts they should be banned. also I'm down with freak's suggestion of not making the first round on holidays.

Also- if you edit your post within the first 6 hours of the round, it nulls your claim.
I don't think pictures are an actual requirement, simply a nice addition.

Please stop suggesting how you want the game to be run, I want new ideas to make the game more fun.

EDIT: NEW IDEA.
People must rhyme in their posts to claim waifus.

Ok then, how about incorporating the MoteMote Battle into the Waifu Game? At the end of round 5, if the players choose to participate, their waifus will be submitted as a group and pinned against other player
s groups? Find out who has the best waifu group.
Not sure if that's similar enough to the MoteMote Battles, now that I think about it, but you get the gist.

Get someone to claim a waifu for you. Failure to do so result in the person losing a waifu via forced divorce.

Ideas? Well... another free for all.
Oh and Elites and Elders can't participate in the first round. Only by title, so Mods, Admins, Artists, Onee-chan, Contributors, Helper, Tech Support and anything else are immune.
Also who is Onee-chan? I forgot
