Rounds 3, 4 and 5 will only run for one week each. I believe 2 weeks for round 1 and 2 are still a good idea though.
The nest round will Start December 6th around 6-7 pm Eastern. Will give 10 minute warning in IRC if I remember (be there but dont rely on it).

It feels like recycling if you continue the reset.

unless someone has a better suggestion, 6 months after round 5 there will be another reset.

Here's a suggestion on the next reset.
Rather than forcing people to give up three waifus they have, you can give the choice of keeping a number of waifus. After that, they skip the rounds equal to the number of waifus kept.
For example, if you keep one waifu, you skip the first round. Keep two, skip the first two rounds and so on. That way, those who don't have a waifu and are looking to join the game can have a fair shot at grabbing someone of value... And those who are happy with their own can go about their own lives happily.
*shrugs* But, you'll probably be like, "Too much work."

What a coincidence. Gardevoir is one of my favorite Pokemon.
Future Sight!
"Stop using this thread as a chat."
Or something similar to that.

An idea similar to this have been running through my head since the very first waifu reset, and i believed i did voice it out at one time, coz at that time, i said that the "reclaimers" are having an unfair advantage of keeping as many waifus as they can and yet they can still claim on the very first round, giving them a head start against all the new comers.
But now, theres a new reason to do it this way ;D at least those who want to keep their selected waifus get to hold on to them.

not hoping for anything ;o main reason why i didnt go so all out in the first reset with this idea is coz in the end, its all up to waar =p and i am fine with that. A suggestion is just what it is in all essence... a suggestion.

I see a few problems with this idea, and trust me i have considered it in the past.
1. The point of a reset is to take a large percentage of the current A list girls and place them back on the market for everyone. What is the point if those who have 4-5 A listers keep those girls, there wont be nearly as many high level girls thus defeating the point of the reset. This isn't the same as the first reset, people who joined aren't noob members with no time reading fakku, guys who claim someone like saber and disappear don't happen anymore. So a reset where people can keep their current waifu if they wish is pointless, you wont see more than 5-6 popular girls on the list.
2. I am not willing to keep track of 400+ members (number of players in the first waifu game) and when they can join the game... I can't ask that of anyone; can you?
3. I like the mad rush at the start, It's one of the many things i love about this game. The anticipation, the strategy... I find it exciting beyond belief.
All in all I've considered options like these but the next reset will not allow people to keep more than 2, so as it stands now the only options i am willing to consider are keeping 2 as well with other new rules to add amusement or keeping less than 2; 1 or perhaps none... I am unsure at this point but I am still willing to hear people out. I am glad you suggested something but I'd like to go in another direction and I do hope you continue to think of new exciting alternatives for the game.

The first reset was a good idea. A reset just for the sake of the reset itself is not. It may be fun for the newcomers, but it's certainly not fun for those of us who have held on to their waifus and love them. I'm pleasantly surprised I managed to get back two of the waifus I had to let go in the reset despite all of my waifus being A list material, but it really wasn't pleasant to constantly worry about the possibility of losing them to someone who only cares about their popularity, nor was it fun to lose my fifth waifu now.
