I would be completely alright if my appearance remained static. Family dies? I can have new ones(aside from parents). I want to see the stars and meet new alien races.

If this were a wish, I'd just make it as specific as possible. Because if you had eternal youth, any future relationships or families you tried to have would be kind of weird because as your wife/husband got older, you're still chipper, young you. Then if people found out, governments might try and bring you in for testing to find out why you're young forever and then a big chunk of your life is in a test tube.

So, you should probably want to be able to control your appearance. Also, you can also say that you wish for eternal youth/life that you can choose to end at any time. That way even if you do get bored (or the sun is going to eat the earth) you can just end it anyway. That's just if this is a wish though.

It's safe to assume humans scientific progression will at least attempt a solution to the decaying sun. We'll certainly attempt to leave the planet before things get too bad. Plus, if everyone is immortal the very real thought of preventative measures would be even more established because we'd know that we'd all be around to witness such an event. Humans are very short sighted in their goal setting. Our long term goals typically only satisfy one lifetime or at the most, just a few generations. If we lived forever we'd set very slow and steady but magnificent and colossal goals because we'd be around to see the progress.
