(pretending to forget her passport as a joke) but coalguys tl'd it as "I thought it was some charm..." It's an understandable tl result because it "works" as dialogue, but it's subtly off, changing a joke into an airhead moment. I often describe myself as "Otaku" despite knowing that an otaku takes love of whatever to levels I will never actually attempt... I often sprinkle a japanese word into my conversations, though usually only when I think its meaning is obvious by context. I never really considered that odd, since I'm constantly speaking both languages for work...
