My brother went out without his pass, got called by the cops, being investigated for more than 4 hours until the news finally reached me and I had to pay up to release him.

I gave the poor boy no dinner this night.

I was crossing the border in tj once. Had my Military id and my passport when you only needed one anyways. Well i get in line to cross because i didn't wanta drive in because i had to keep my side arm on the us side.. and i didn;t wanta check it back home or the base.. anyways. I got up to the gate flashed my MID and they scanned it... BEEP BEEP BEEP they grabed my ass and threw me down on the ground. Long story short.. the machine thought i was Daniel joseph XXXXXXXXX.. a terrorist. Until they seen my passport and called my C.O.. i was in a cell for 8 hours making sure i was just Joseph XXXXXXXX... also my Driver licenses said i was Josephe clar l'yu XXXXXXXXXX My birth name.

If you have to bring it along all the time, keep it somewhere safe and secure. Don't try to pat it, hide it, or search for it in crowded places. That's basically telling anyone who see you "hey, look, this is where my passport is".

Poor kid is unlucky. He only want to take a little stroll after being enslaved by my wife all day long and accidentally left his passport behind.

The Ukrainian spokeperson said that actually it's not that necessary to bring your pass all the time, but do try to bring it for identification purpose. After all, them police arent paid well enough to do all this shit, so I kinda symphatize with them.
