8/10 Man, this was so awesome in Burnout Revenge. <3
An untitled and never-before-used (most of it, at least) idea by Ben Sharp, aka Cloudkicker, from 2006.
The underlying pattern is a 21/8 rhythm (you may recognize it because I reused it in Avalanche) that contains 10 kick drum hits, but I overlaid a 21-note pattern on it. It was super confusing and I could only record it in sections.

Way back when I first started writing music for what would become Cloudkicker, I borrowed a friend’s 7-string for a few weeks and this is one of the things I recorded. I never really got it beyond the rough stages (like recording bass for anything past the intro) but the ideas are there.
