Started a new world on survival

took me a few days to legit build that damn working lighthouse

I had actually finished the tower and house a bit ago but the redstone lamps were a bitch to get. So I didn't finish the top part and roof till right now.





Island was originally half this size. Originally the island was just small sand island. Since didn't have silk touch on any items I had to let the grass grow over from mainland

XBOX 360 minecraft

It's not bad, per say, but it's boring.
Try different styles, different materials, you know, anything other than cobble stone and wood. Try using steps (regular and upside down) half slabs, fence, fence gates.
You name it. Try to be inventive.
Also, is the xbox version moddable ? If yes, try using industial craft.
It adds a crapton more options for you. (If not, well sucks to be you.)

Very nice. How do you get on and off the island? There doesn't appear to be a bridge

well its a light house. You can't see it from this angle but the house is on stilts. And I used stonebrick for the tower... nothing else I can really use for a plain lighthouse.

and they only have texture packs atm.

edit:

whats funny is that all my light houses look square from the outside

but on the inside their round(ish)

it looks square because I put wood in the corners to make it less grey.
