if you dont know anithing about what's it like to have a child or baby or close enough, you might want to ask your parents. Ok let's put it this way, you are in the mids of world war 3 you are hiding from enemy invaders in a coverd hole enside a beat up house basement along with with around 25 to 30 other people including your relatives, thare is lots of gun fire explosions and screaming, all of the suden it all stops. You realise that your home lads army in that area has lost, you hear foot steps going back and forth out side the house, equipment rateling it's the enemy looking for people to kill. Your wife(or husband, girlfriend, ect) is crying in silent, you hear the foot steps going away, your child starts crying out loud the foot steps stop, the start geting closer.
Would you kill your own child, or what would you do?
Me personaly, i would probably kill my child but would not be able to live with the burden. I realy took some time in to this because, i have been botherd by this nightmare for far to long.

Why on earth do I have to kill a child if I can just stuff a sock in him mouth (or otherwise gag/smother him) instead? If he dies, its unfortunate, but that's a completely different situation from deliberately killing him.
I could never deliberately kill a person (and most definitely someone I love), even to save 30 people, or even a million.

It depends how close they are.
If they are like right outside the building, stopping the baby from crying probably won't save you since they know that at least 2 people are in the building (the baby and the person who's trying to keep the baby quiet)
However, if they're like halfway down the street or something, stopping the baby could work if you shut it up fast enough.
So, in situation #1, it's most likely too late because, even if you manage place the kid in a room away from everyone else, the soldiers will probably search the house.
In situation #2, covering the kid's mouth would most likely be enough to keep them from getting too suspicious and going back into the building to search it.
In either case....no, I would not. Either due to it being useless or due to it being unnecessary.

This was taught in boot camp(not your own child). Which is right choice. Kill the child or let it crying and get caught. There is no right choice but always a wrong choice... depend on the person. Me.. i can't kill a child but in training there was a other simulation with a wounded man in pain that i could do.

I'll worry about it if african head hunters invade america to start WWIII. A situation in which soldiers are ordered to exterminate civilians doesn't seem probable.

well i would go grab the weapons i had stored throughout the house
because if ww3 were to happen
i wouldnt be dumb enough not to have some kind of way to protect my family and me

I'll be dead by the time WW3 happens or at least part of the winning side.
But if it happens: Don't kill the kid, surrender quietly. Convince the soldiers to spare the kid, shoot self.
