Why Blizzard? Why?

I go buy Diablo 3. Pay 60 fucking dollars for it. But I was still really excited to play despite that. I Install the game. Connect to battle net and all that. Then I find out that I can't even play because all of Blizzard's servers aren't working. From what I hear its because too many people logged in to play and that caused a crash. Now I can't play at all. You would think that they would have prepared for this kind of thing. This is bullshit

Give it time. The servers'll stop cocking about eventually.

I heard some people here already got through to it, or something? Hell, joke sites are shitting out content that basically implies the following:

Seriously, no one can prepare beyond a certain degree for such traffic.

Beta players like me totally expected this to happen, it's the massive influx of people who actually waited for the release date instead of pre-ordering it (which gave you access to private beta). I don't know why most people would prefer buying it on release rather than pre-ordering it
