I love the art and some attempt at a story (even if a lot is sort of unrealistic as well). Just always felt awkward watching porn.

I know, I'm worried about myself too. Actually I hope this will change soon cause it is bothering me a lot but: Porn turns me off.. It is not even doesn't turn me on, it literally turns me OFF.. dunno why. It looks disgusting to me..

As for hentai it can turn me on with only a single picture? I guess I like the cleanliness 2D gives off. Also that the people are almost 'perfect'. Of course we have the 'uglier' girl or the nerdy unpopular guy but usually I will find them attractive anyway.

If Doujinshi I relate a lot to the heroine cause I usually like the male she is having sex with or I'm just getting lot of happy feels cause OTP, as for original ones I like the fact that you get some background information about the characters and see small development. I'm not much of a 'supernatural' fan so it is not like the fantasy part is pulling me in. And it is not like public sex, NTR, bondage etc can't happen IRL but it just doesn't feel as guilty when it is 2D.

It's a bit weird to ask this question on a hentai site, but whatever. I personally prefer hentai too :3. I think some of the fucked up things would be seriously illegal irl. Also, girls in hentai are way cuter (because they're not having sex in order to pay rent, etc.)

Yeah. The real problem is, that animating is HARD. So, you basically want to make it short=less backstory, less variety of poses, less facial expressions...and so it will suck, just like regular porn.

I just like sexy art. I don't know. I watch porn sometimes too but not often. Sometimes I get into this mood where real life porn disgusts me. Hentai is cleaner too. Not content wise, but the characters look clean to the point of being immaculate, besides all those fun sex juices of course.

One big point hentai has over porn, at least with manga or visual novels, is that the man doesn't talk. When people talk in porn, they always say the dumbest shit. And when men perform cunnilingus on women in porn, the man looks like a puppy and it's pathetic and they always focus on his face.

Also, a lot of the time women in porn sound bored or their fake orgasms sound too fake.

Variety. There's only so much porn you can watch before yearning for a good hentai doujinshi. Varied art styles, different authors... there's a lot more to appreciate in hentai. This is, of course, talking about manga-- animated hentai generally isn't my cup of tea (although I may occasionally come across a good one.)

For me personally, it feels more...genuine. I've never liked the badly acted porn scenes that are the norm. I'm here for the writing 9 times out of 10. If I can find good amateur porn, I also love that, but it's rare, and it's getting to the point that I'm always preferring drawn over real.

As said many times previously, the fact that real porn is fake as all kinds of hell. And the amount of noise the guy makes is a huge turn off. Though somehow the girl going 'oh yeah' and shit over and over isnt much better.
