IDK, maybe because the only way sex between an orc/ugly person and a elf can happen is via rape.
When mangakas create these kinds of works, there's always going to be a common theme to them. In this case, its the Elf getting victimized by another species. Maybe sex between two elves would be too boring (I mean if you're going to do that, you might as well make them two normal humans). The only appeal elves have is their long ears anyways. Two different species getting together spices things up a bit, but there's bound to be conflict when it happens.
