Why is Japanese porn/hentai always censored?

I don't get it. I heard that there was this ruling passed down ever since world war 2. But I never really understood why? I mean, no other country ever does something like that. (Unless they broadcast it in the public sector.)

That's where you're arrogant. Every country has "Censorship Law", the differences lies on how far the rules are implemented.

In my country they've started banning all porn sites, and everything that's related to porn will be punished by law.
