Well as some of you know I am the FAKKU! truck driver and a lot of things happen in my travels. But what I want to know is why bad shit always happens to me when I have important plans. people always say things happen for a reason well i would like to know what reason their is for my truck to die on me out of the blue.
last night about 1200 am est either my trans or my engine let go. they are both under warranty so no worries there, but it seems that every time i try to plan something it gets fucked up by some external factor by no fault of my own
what did i do wrong to deserve this. I know i'm not the only one this happens to but why does it always seem like it oh well now i'm stuck in youngstown ohio just a few hours from home and they cant even look at my truck till tuesday ...... damn this sucks

I'm not a firm believer in Murphy's law, but there is some truth to it. Its all a part of duality. While we seek out things that our good, we avoid that which is bad. If you seek half of something, you will never find it. If you attain half of something, you attain the other half, whether you know it or not. The adverse is as it is because we perceive it that way.

please, duality...
sometimes you just have bad luck. it's how you deal with those situations that defines you as a human being.

ignoring the slightly depressing Murphy's law, just believe in the theory that every body has the same amount of luck (so bad luck today = good luck tomorrow) and its all about how you use it. or think about those children in Africa... or something like that.
anyway hope your luck turns for the better then

there is no balance.. people always say "well it cant get any worse"... it certainly can, and there is no balancing agent in this world... I wish karma existed but I truly believe everything is simply a set of events happening which have positive and negative outcomes and happen at random times... So 10 bad things may happen to you today, and the very next day another 10 could happen... Maybe you'll just get lucky and have some good ones come along. Or you could make your own luck and make things happen for yourself (the ability to create your own good outcomes is amazing).

Murphy's law, and karma are both things that are based off human psychology. In simpler words, its all in your head. Whats good whats bad etc.
Suffering is nature's way of strengthening. Mentally speaking, if you have suffered something before, the next time you suffer something of a lower scale, it doesnt feel as bad since you have suffered from something that was worse.
Another way to look at it, is that if you have gone through alot of hardships, even the slightest positive thing that happens to you next would make you very happpy, but if that particular thing were to happen to someone who hasnt been through hardships, he would just take it for granted and will probably wont feel anything out of it (or might even feel disappointed).
This is a VERY big topic btw and im just brushing the surface so yea =p i hope you get an idea

Ah, Sod's law...only ever deployed in the few scenarios where things do go wrong, and not the majority where nothing does. It's all chance for me; you have to accept that a continuous ream of bad things could happen to you, but the likelihood is that they won't. Of course, you can make problems out of problems for yourself, but for most people that isn't significant and that in itself is a kind of chance. It tends to balance out.
