'Word of the Day' Challenge

Each day(ish) year? lol... I'll post a new word; try to use it creatively in a sentence. The best sentence (chosen by me or by popularity, w/e) will be listed in the OP.

Rules

- Try to keep it to one sentence, not a whole paragraph or multiple sentences. The focus should be on how eloquently you can dress the word.
- One entry a day, cause I'm lazy and I don't want to read all that crap. If you want to type more than one, at least make it clear the one being judged.
- If the word has a use that I do not have listed, feel free to use it that way. Cite the additional usage.

The prosecutor's attempts to oppugn the evidence against the defendant was nothing but unintelligible ramblings and would do nothing but damage his already flimsy case.

foofaraw [FOO-fuh-raw] - noun

The foolish Americans threw a ridiculous foofaraw upon noting the foofaraw the aliens from mars happened to make when they saw that their queen was forced to wear an extraordinarily ugly dress with a plethora of gruesome foofaraw, resulting in people criticizing America's foofaraw as another ploy designed to kiss up to the aliens, although they breathed a sigh of relief upon noting the worldwide ban on overly ostentatious foofaraw.

Not making an attempt this time, because the word foofaraw rubs me the wrong way. It is so over the top and strange. I find it to be awkward, and thus, it is hard for me to use in proper context.

Just wanted to say, I like the idea of this thread, and will keep an eye on it. Good addition Circle. :D

Immune by the piercing stares and curious mumblings of the concerned passersby, my foofaraw continued with such energy and attention to detail, no one would believe stories of the lone man who spent hours searching his brain for an adequate enough sentence for the word 'foofaraw'.

[font=verdana][color=green]Whilst a Feofor should make an effort to look presentable, the addition of a top-hat and tails turned the event into a foofaraw.

Yes, I am willing to go through such a foofaraw in order to bump this thread so as it is not lost amongst the pages of IB.
