And I keep hearing the sound of sneakers on a basketball court coming from inside the buildings.

Site is a small open air shopping center.

Here's some background.

Been working here close to three months. I would hear this noise every day. But only in the back and in the same general location. I figured it was either car breaks, rats or pipes.

However today I heard it while in the front. Continually for 2 hours. And from all over site. While by myself. So it's most likely none of those.

You're haunted. Without a doubt.

I suggest that you buy a shit load of ponies. And place them around area the sound is coming from. Two negatives make a positive.

I know it's nothing. But not knowing what it is exactly is what's got me feeling paranoid.

The mind fears the unknown the most.

find out what that noise probably is. apparently homeless people live behind the fence in that area and it was probably them making that noise

A/C unit idling.

Behind the main building there is a small hill and is fenced off. Right next to the fence is the highway. So people are sleeping in the small space between the fence and the road. I have a certain... source.... that told me that the guys back there do work on stripping things. Like bikes, batteries and so on for quick cash.

The sound I heard was probably from their tools.
