Mikasa from Titan is not a yandere. She's more like a gou-dere than a yandere.

A few more stories of varying yan potential:

Seemingly controlling girlfriend (F21) seems not to want me (M20) hang out with friends

Girlfriend (F22) feels it's acceptable to access my computer and other belongings to delete, move, or otherwise tamper with whatever she feels is necessary. She also has tried to 'correct' certain behaviors by taking things away from me. Is this acceptable behavior?

Need more understanding yandere like this.

I frankly don't see the loli from Misaki Family as a yandere, despite the tag. She loved her dad, never harms him, never threatens him. How can she be yandere?

As of "Should Love me", despite the yandere tag, she only feigned being asleep out of love for her onii-chan. She doesn't go psyco either.




That sir, is a future concerned mother for your kids, not a yandere. She would look out for your well being, even if she screws up. How can she be made to change, to not be overly concerned and stay caring, is a mystery for me.- but she'd be cute.

Perhaps you are right. If we are going to rate the overall yandereness in the plot of "Misaki Family", we could say that it does not really fall to the yandere category. However, the fact that she snapped and threatened her father (through blackmail) because of his intention of stopping the illicit relationship between them counts as one of the those yandere moments. (See pages 19-22)

I personally perceive the aforementioned scene as a portrayal of obsessiveness and possessiveness. We could also follow a more comprehensive guide in explaining the yandere traits of a person.


Likewise, the case in "Should Love Me" by Itou Ei can also be explained the same way. When she discovered that her brother is fucking his friend/or girlfriend, she did something to make the woman hate his brother and then later on broke their relationship (See pages 9-13). In the last page, why did she suddenly wake up and caress her brother's cheek instead of continuing to pretend asleep? I assume it must be her way to show that she is fully aware of his brother's doing and is taking that as an advantage to take control of him, yet again, through coercion. Adding her last statement, "should love me", it connects all the dots towards a legit 'yandere action'.


Those are just my opinion based on the foregoing circumstances. I believe it can be rebutted by simply looking at it in other perspectives. This confusion could possibly be avoided if I use a yandere scale to rate the yandere qualities of a character, which I'm planning to implement the next time I update the Yandere Manga and Doujinshi thread.
