Greetings from another Lurker

What with the whole Fakku exploding drama, I felt the need to register after lurking for... I really don't know how long. Must be well over a year. Not really sure, just know it was happy fapping.
I'll admit that I've never really ventured into the Forums often, mostly just sticking to suggestions for anime/manga, so I'm afraid my knowledge of the social dynamic is limited.
Anyway, on to the personal info. I'm a nineteen year old male currently living in British Columbia (Despite what many are lead to believe in cinema, Canada does in fact have a west coast). I work in cabinetry, specializing in Antique Restoration and Reproductions. It's fairly interesting work, though quite niche-oriented in nature.
When not watching anime/manga, I'm generally either reading or writing shitty fanfiction (Harry Potter fandom mostly, though I have dabbled in the Marvel Universe and others) or just fiction in general. I recently just finished Odd Thomas and it is so far amazing.
As for anime, I do not consider myself an expert, and wouldn't really identify as an Otaku, despite watching a ridiculous amount of it. For example, I currently have 7 tabs open, all containing different shows I'm in the process of watching.
My tastes generally fall into the psychological, drama, romance and horror genres. In my earlier youth I almost exclusively watched Action based anime, though my tastes have since evolved to the point where it's rare that I'll give them a chance.
To give a few examples, I've recently watched Toradora, Myself; Yourself, School Days, True Tears, Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, Elfen Lied, Angel Beats and Ef, a tale of Memories/Melodies. I'd say that they pretty much sums up my current tastes.
Anyway, this intro has dragged on quite long enough. If you have any recommendations that you think I'd enjoy, feel free to post them. I'm always looking for a new series to try out.

I've actually watched about half the first season of Clanned. I should really finish that soon (Firefox exploded at some point, making me lose all of my tabbed shows I planned to watch and it simply fell through the cracks.)
I'll definitely give the others a look over, though I've seen a few of them. Thanks for the welcome.

Heh, already on my reading list. I honestly didn't expect much of from this show at first, but after researching it a little more, mainly the episode format, and after episodes 4 and 6, I find that it's grown on me. Of course, any show that broadcasts with nude scenes can't be all bad.
Once again, thanks for the welcome.
Also, I imagine it's not quite the same case here on Fakku, but I've recently realised I'm some sort of mutant freak for being a western who likes romance/dramas. Even among my friends who like anime they seem to not understand that a romance doesn't have to be a romantic-comedy.
I blame Hollywood. Damn Rom-Coms.

Knew I should have gone with a more obscure ancient greek name. Ah well, hopefully it won't cause too much confusion, as this is my most used username. Use it for WoW, among other things.

I also recommended that you read the Monster comic rather than the anime. While I'm pimping my fav artist I recommend 20th Century boys and Pluto. As far as anime goes I also highly recommended Neon Genesis Evangelion if you have not seen it yet. Watch the new movies too, there great.
Oh, I almost forgot; welcome to fakku forums.
-Edit-
I assume you using some kind of stream site to watch these? If yes stop it.
Sindalf explains how: https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=38451
Don't worry, he knows what he's talking about.

What I usually do is just stream the first episode to see if I like it, then find a torrent for the whole series. I'm not too proud to admit that my computer skills are mediocre at best (which is still better than 90% of the population) so I've never really used IRC for torrents.
Currently in the process of educating myself. Thanks for the link.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome. lol
