Why the handle "Kyrie"? I am taking a class on medieval and renaissance music, so I have it stuck in my head as the Greek "Lord have mercy." of the latin mass. What sense do you mean it in?

Kyrie is "Lord" or "Oh Lord" in greek/latin...I think the coptics are big on the term....of course it's also in catholic and protestant services....but I'm thinking it came from Elfen Lied being a member and all...yes?
