I don't think you are quite grasping the necrobump idea. Nobody was mad that you necro'd a thread (since you had something to contribute anyway.) What caused the unwanted attention was your rapid-fire spam necroing that took over the entire random section and more. This whole idea of "gotta get my posts in before it's considered necro" is what is making you annoying.

TL;DR Necro doesn't bother people if you contribute, but mindless spamming of posts does.

and i'll reiterate: spam =/= quality posts that add to the value of a thread. but thanks for your opinion regardless.

Yeah, apparently all it takes to do that is being in the position to quickly make many quality posts to threads.

I gotta tell you, it's very surprising that out of the 7-8 hentai forums that I have joined and posted to this week (in exactly the same fashion), it's *this* one that has people getting all riled up.

It'd be one thing if I was spamming 3-4 word, junk, careless commentary, but I'm *not*. So whatever lol.

Its probably because the other sites are less active/lame.

Well, usually our newcomers don't decide to necrobump 100 threads in a day.

Usually forums don't consider quality posts adding value to a thread a necrobump.

We could go on and on about this, but it's just unnecessary (and it's honestly not the way I want to increase my post count here). I'm waiting on word from a policymaker of the forum for a clear understanding of whether or not there can be exception to necrobumping in the terms you guys have outlined.

It's not an issue of rule-breaking or something that will get you banned. You made 130 posts in one day. People are going to be upset about that, I'm not sure how you don't understand that since [b]it is happening right now[/i].

If you didn't want people to be upset with you for making 130 posts in one day, then you shouldn't have done it. Otherwise, you reap what you sow.

You don't seem to be grasping the repercussion, which is pushing a page of newer, active threads below a load that had run their course. Indeed, many of them were gutted by the recent site crash, and have lost numerous posts. Since very few people browse the second page unless looking for a specific thread, that isn't really fair.

I didn't actually read any of your 'quality contributions' until just now because I assumed that they would all be spam. Quality contribution and filling a page with posts don't usually correlate. Think these things through.

Well I certainly do grasp it after it was pointed out to me, but technically this could just be avoided by working my way backwards, from older threads to newer ones, technically preserving the order of many threads.

I say, just keep posting and what not. Don't worry about "Necrobumping" if you have something of worth to add. Others may not of known that thread existed, and users can add new content to it as well. Don't worry about posting too much either, nobody else has any ground to complain about someone being TOO active on the forum.

As long as you follow the rules, don't double post, and are actually contributing, you are just fine.

Sure, in my opinion a quality post is something that contributes value to the thread (i.e. an opinion that adds to the discussion), is relevant to the topic, and is more than a few words long. BTW Waar has taken a look at my posting history, and his opinion is that most of my posts are not spammy junk, so I'd say my guidelines of a quality post are fairly spot on.

Waars opinions on posts are just awful though because he runs the sewers of Fakku. Just cause a trash collector calls something treasure, that doesn't make it so.

You can devalue his opinion as much as you like, but he *is* a mod / admin (i'm not sure which exactly), and as far as I'm concerned, his opinion is valid when it concerns the forum he helps maintain.
