But you should go post you picture in "post you picture" in random, allot of people have done so already, and it is quite interesting to see the people behind the avatars :)

I have no clue how to post pictures. Is the URL for the picture like, "Documents and Settings\Fakku\is\awesome.jpg"?

You have to upload the picture to some service like dropbox, sadpanda.us or photobucket, after you have done that you need to remember the url to the picture. to put you picture in a post you can just press quote on a post with a picture in and see how they have put the url in their post to show their picture :)
