Hello people of the Fakku Community. Please don't hit me (cringe) I'm 22, live with my sister, and am currently attending classes to become a writer. I am a D&D nerd, but also an active athlete. Brand new to Japanese culture, but i do everything headfirst and all in, so when i found this site i was happy to find a new commitment!

Most of my friends make those jokes; in fact they made them so much that I'm actually immune to most of the humor until it goes really dark. And it does... Excuse me... (cry in corner)

Hiya and welcome, Notvisable. If you'd like to see some of that culture at work in anime form, may I suggest Genshiken. You'll even see some of that "you live with your sister" reaction in there. It may give you some insight to the otaku sub-culture you've so recently jumped into.
