Whoa, Hold on a moment. No offense, but isn't the point of making an introduction is to get attention. Even if it does make me look like one, why do you have to point it out?

Would you really like the community to have a negative opinion of you? Would you really like to be known as the "user who didn't have anything going other than being female"? If you would like to make an impact or get attention, do so by becoming a quality poster, a good member of the community. When I introduced myself, I simply said "Hi", and left it at that.
