You have my respect for having the patience to collect all the Titanium bolts and skill points in GC. I was too lazy to even bother with the sewer crystals in UYA or those moon stones, raritanium, and other violet crystals in GC. I take it you did the same for all the others games in the series?
The giant clank and space battles were the most annoying part of GC and the original for me. Clank just doesn't have the mobility of Ratchet.
GC and UYA were my favorites in the PS2 series. The original was good but after playing those two with strafe mode available, the original become a pain to play. Deadlocked feels too impersonal and more like I'm fighting with a robot. Size Matters can fall off a cliff.
Are the game titles meant to have some sexual innuendos in them?
Going Commando --> naked
Up Your Arsenal ---> up your ass (arse)
Deadlocked ---> bondage
Size Matters ---> size matters
Tools of Destruction ---> sex toys??????
Quest for Booty ---> quest for booty
A Crack in Time ---> ass-crack
Maybe I'm just a pervert but it feels like these names were on purpose. Thoughts?
Went through and collected all the collectables and skillpoints for
all the games for the PS2 except Size Matters, and A Crack in Time. Tools of Destrution I got bored with all too easily, All 4 One I can't be arsed to collect all the Hero bolts for and Quest for Booty is only an hour's worth of gameplay.
I personally loved the Space battles in GC, just not the races. I want to blow shit up, not race someone damnit!
Giant Clank in the original was badarse. Was less fun in GC I'll admit, far too much time taken to destroy buildings or helicopters or UFOs on legs which somehow heal you when they get defeated by Melee. And that skillpoint where you have to defeat the Thug leader using only Melee, FUCK. After 10 minutes I wanted to scratch my eyes out! >_<
My favourite Giant Clank appearance was at the end of the original for the first part of the Drek fight; I get a sick satisfaction from seeing all those Blarg troops and dropships getting defeated from just using one bomb. *evil grin* Especially after, as you said, killing anything is a pain in the arse due to the lack of an efficient strafing system.
And yeah you aren't imagining it, the titles are meant to have innuendos in some way
