I hope this doesn't happen.

Lolicon creeps me out so I don't really care but it said up to school uniforms, so if that means high school, it will severely limit doujin and eroge content.

Ahh well Canada already has super strict rules on lolicon and Shota works. If its artwork of any kind and those depicted doing sexual acts appear under 18 it's ilegal and considered child pornography.

And that's why I'm never going to Canada.

I like loli, but I wouldn't miss it if it got outlawed.

er thats pretty bad, because it also affects anything involving monster girls who only apppear to be young such as dragons, vampires, and succubi.

i really hope this doesn't pass

Would it? Relevant to your avi (and me since I run the LoL nosebleed), would that affect yordles?

possibly. remember it says specifically anything that "looks young" meaning characters like Rachel (from Blazblue) and Nowi (from Fire Emblem) would likely count. so yea probably Yordles would too (then again this is a japanese law so it wouldn't affect art produced elsewhere) be affected by the law.

most of the LoL h-art i see are from koreans and chinese people anyways. japanese people were never big on pc games.

either way, the main issue with the law is the very vague "looks young" it states. because i dunno why asians of all people are the authority on what "looks young" considering i have a co-worker who looks 18 that is actually 30

I believe in my friend's Philosophy with Lolis and Lolicon:

"Lolis are fine but Lolicon is where I draw the line."

yeah lol a second after I posted I was like "oh wait this is Japanese law." But yeah, no, I dunno what's up with them being the "authority" either. Like, literally every Japanese person I've met in Japan has been ~5-10 years older than what they look, it's insane.

^ basically.

"But the most problematic area of the document is that, in 3 years time, it says it promises to implement restrictions regarding the creation of ero- fictional works portraying characters that appear underaged!"

I personally don't disagree with this though, I think it is kind of twisted and sick for someone to be sexually aroused by a child. I think even though it is "Drawings" it's still child pornography, because like everyone knows it is still portraying an underage person engaging in sexual conduct.

But that's just my opinion. I see nothing wrong with this.

If ever that law get passed it may severely limit the potential of the genre.
i hope it does not happen.

I don't really care about the genre. I'v only seen 1 loli doujin (The Light of Tsukimi Manor) and I really didn't feel for it much. So if the law passes, it won't be missed for me.

But as far as I know there have been laws already talking about this long ago.

I wouldn't miss it.

"In legal terms, child means anyone under the age of 18. If this definition is maintained and law is expanded to include manga and anime, vast amount of material that is not even considered worthy of being classified as harmful to youth would become illegal to draw, show, read or watch in Japan."

Spoiler:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I wonder how fierce the opposition to this piece of legislation will be? Will there be protests, I wonder? Either way, I'm not too confident that this shit will fly.

Dammit, not the monster girls. I just started enjoying the genre.
