Site width

Since late yesterday, the site (other than the reader) has apparently suddenly become more wide than before, no longer fitting on the screen. Which is especially problematic on the forums where even the Post Reply button can't be accessed without scrolling to the right.

Ugh, this. It's really bugging me. And if you maximize the window, it doesn't even stretch, it just leaves blank spaces on the side.

Whoopsie.

If I had to guess, I'd say that, since it seems to be affecting everything except the reader, it's probably an issue with either an update to the frontend* coding, or an issue with a site-wide (no pun intended) CSS bug.

*(The frontend being what we, the users, end up seeing, as opposed to the backend, which would include things like the imagehosting portion.)

Then again, I'm not running Fakku, so I'm pulling these guesses out of my ass.

There's a function called zoom-out dipshit.

Still doesn't solve the maximize window problem, dipshit.

Yeah we rolled out a wider site design yesterday, if you're having display issues post a screenshot and I'll get it fixed.

maybe it depends on the browser?

Using google chrome and the screen looks just fine for me :/

Yeah, using it as a crutch right now, but the smaller text (and other content) isn't really speaking in its favor.

The site is currently optimized for 1200 width screens, I'll look into making it responsive for resolutions below that.

Those of us still running 1024 x 768 (so pretty much just me) would appreciate it.

Appreciated. I've seen other people complain as well, so it's not just the two of us.

Make the width percentage based instead.

Pretty much the same on my end, too.

I guess you've been working on this a bit, but now it's even worse. It's still the same normally, but zooming out to be able to see the full width of the site does this to the header:

This should be fixed, probably a week before I can fix it for 1024

[color=#ff69b4]My netbook is 1024 x 600, hoping you get everything worked out soon, It's not fun having it zoom out so far.

I don't usually have my browser set to fullscreen and instead have the window set to around 65% of my screen's total width and about 70% of my screen's total height, which lets me easily watch YouTube videos on one window while browsing the web on a separate window, leaving space to have notepad documents and other stuff open to the sides. It's kinda hard to explain, so I'll include a screenshot below:

I guess I got so used to having my windows sized and placed this way that it's become second nature for me. Having anything in fullscreen mode (besides videos, of course) feels super weird for me.

Because of this, I've had to set Fakku! to 80% zoom instead and that works just fine for me. The text is a little small, but it isn't that big of a deal because I'm on a laptop that's only a foot away from my face.

Made some changes today that should resolve this issue. However I didn't have much time to test them before it went live, so let me know if there are any issues.
