Depends. Either your ego is bigger than skill or you really delusional.

Or you live with your parents so busting your ass playing in the park or the local coffeehouse doesn't effect you need to be warm and full of something foodlike.

Now if you said i thinking of quitting my job but after i do music on the side until i can prove to myself i can live off playing at places where im not paid by donations. Then do it fgt.

I understand the mentality of just wanting to jump into something, but in this case it's better if you know for sure you can get money with your music.

You only quit your job for music if you make it big, otherwise you are just a hippy with a guitar playing outside on the street with a guitar case in front of you.

You don't have to commit to your music right away.

now I'm in a pickle

if I cared about your well being I'd say not to take reality so lightly and to stay with your job. At least until you've saved up enough money to cover your expenses.

This is the practical and safe solution.

But we don't have that kind of relationship.

So I think you should totally quit your job.

This is my fender. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My fender is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my fender is useless. Without my fender, I am useless. I must strum my fender true. I must play faster than my enemy who is trying to outshine me. I must rock him before he rocks me. I will...

Get gigs first.
Make CDs.
Get buskers permit for street playing.
Get revenue.
Do math.

If things work out half-decent for a few months, then you can realistically think about quitting your job.

Sure why not? Follow your dreams and goals, even if they end up in failure. You don't know till you try.

>Stating you're gonna become a musician without a mixtape and soundcloud

Don't worry, you're not at the final stages to where we have to put you down yet.
