Renai Sample gone from library
3
I noticed that the anniversary edition of Renai Sample was coming out, and I was checking to see if I had purchased the original. Come to find it's completely gone from my digital library. It's in my order history, I definitely bought it, but now clicking on the original's page gives an error. I don't mind the new edition replacing the old one on the storefront, but shouldn't I be able to still read the copy I bought?

I still have the original release in my Library, but it leads straight to the same "Error Page Not Found" message that I'm getting on several other purchases that appear to be related to Payment Processor censorship that is finally hitting the site.

Who cares?
I have the same problem too. Also one of new comic also cannot access as it show error not found as well.
I also bought the digital one too from early days. At least restore access to purchased one back and fix this issue ASAP.

Unsurprisingly there are a few artist pages that are just "gone" in the last day or two (like Inago probably for similar reasons to Asanagi).
I'm curious to see what things look like on the other side of this situation.

This has been fixed.
We'll most likely provide a more in depth update next week.
I appreciate everyones patience and understanding as we navigate this, thank you.

Long story short, payment processors refusing to allow certain types of content for places they accept transactions for, so a bunch of tags and content have disappeared. FAKKU staff are trying to figure out how to break the news without causing everyone to have a shitfit(which will happen regardless) and a lot of people will likely be finding new alternative ways to enjoy the missing content.
The question is, has FAKKU found a way around it? I personally doubt it but it remains to be seen.
Also, taking days to come clean about the issues is piss poor form regardless of whether I am right or wrong.

Unfortunately we really can't say anything right now, as soon as we can comfortably do so, we'll explain with more details.

I just hope things are able to go back to how they were before this all happened - site features, thumbnails, content, tags, authors, etc. in tact.

When FAKKU acquired licenses to Wani's works, a lot of the old stuff from sharing sites got DMCA takedown notices. A lot of them never returned. What makes matters worse is that those works never made it to FAKKU's catalog as well. Some couldn't make it because "problematic/controversial" content. Even though that was frustrating as hell, I still considered subscribing to have a legitimate source of uncensored versions of such material.
If this site will end up capitulating to such censorship again, then FAKKU and Wani might as well stop sending DMCA takedowns on contents you're not willing to publish yourselves.

snipWhy would the Japanese publisher stop enforcing their content rights just because an overseas partner doesn't publish said material? You're bringing about a lot of unrelated topics, and I think you have a rather naive view of how an industry is ran. Once we're able to elaborate, it should shed some light on the bigger picture.

I hope it's not as bad as it's being made out to be. A LOT of good content and tags were nuked seemingly overnight.
