How many of you are "math smart" enough to understand this equation?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with how it is done. Though, this can easily be proven false.
Now after seeing this do you believe 2 can equal 1? or do you have the knowledge to disprove it? (if you post how it is dis-proven then please use spoiler)
Also, I love math and if anyone else has any other fun equations and/or tricky math stuff please post them. :D

I have dyscalculia, I don't need to think on these kind of questions. Calculator + easier questions for me. Not that I'm too happy about this, I'm like this since forever.
I finished highshool than went to work. Higher schools don't provide "special" attention to students I would fail horribly there...

its rather sad that it took me like a half hour to understand this. I used to be soooo good at math... Now I suck at it.

Technically, in this case, dividing by zero is alright because it's zero divided by zero. although when you divide by (a-b) and end up with a+b=b, no matter how you look at it that can't be true; unless of course a and b both equal zero.

Spoiler:
It isn't because it's alright to divide by zero in this case; a=b therefore, (a-b) would be zero.
(a+b)(a-b)= 0 b(a-b)= 0
(a+b)(0)= 0 b(0)= 0
And also, you're dividing by the factor (a-b) which is present in both sides of the equation. Therefore, it is a perfectly legal operation without requiring imaginary numbers.

I always hated math, but due to the fact I have to learn so much of it in order to make games, I've gotten used to it....the scariest part is the fact that I actually started to seriously read this and make sure I understood it o_0

So in that third step, where you divide by a-b... is that legal? i'm confused on that, my limited thinking keeps saying "oh you can't just divide by (a-b), the only way to do that is to multiply by (a-b)/(a-b), which is 1, to ensure there are no external variables affecting the equation".
I could be wrong. I think I'm wrong.
