The race will air this Sat. on the speed channel(june 12) and live coplete coverage will be streaming on speedtv.com.
For those who don't know the 24 hours of Le Mans is one of the oldest events in motor sports, run every year since 1923 in Le Mans France. As the name suggests it is a 24 hour endurance race in which the top manufacturers of the world, as well as private teams come to showcase and push their cars to the limits. The cars are divided into four classes: LMP1 and LMP2 are prototype vehicles designed strictly for racing. GT1 and GT2 classes are race versions of production street cars. I've been looking forward to it all year, it's the super bowl of motor sports! Is anybody else planning to watch?

I'm going to be busy all day that day. Pissed me off when I found out that a party (for lack of a better word) fell on the same day. I'm not going to claim to be an expert on this at all, but I really enjoy watching it, and have a for a few years now.
I usually pay attention to GT 1&2 more so than the Prototypes. As the GTs seem more grounded in reality, due to them being modified versions of what you could go buy from a dealership.

Yeah it's really exciting to watch, last year was my first time seeing it and I was hooked. As for the classes I like them all but GT2 is my favorite because I get to watch the Porsches duke it out with the Ferraris and Aston Martons. I wish more of my friends were into racing so I could throw a party.

I'm going to have to stick with the Corvette C6.Rs as I usually do.
The Corvette Factory racing team was supposed to have retired them at last years Le Mans to focus on a different GT2 project, but I'm not sure if they have.
The C6.R picked right up where the C5-R left off. Very solid cars.
