A major in math, Japanese foreign exchange?

Hey there my Fakkunians! I had a question for you all. I plan to be a major in math, and I've wanted to foreign exchange in Japan for quite some time now. Problem is, I have no idea where to start, so it'd be nice to have some suggestions for colleges to foreign exchange in.
Have any suggestions?

On top of that, do you even go to a university or school that offers a foreign exchange to Japan? Have you also considered the costs? It's not as easy as just attending the same old classes for college in Japan.
On that note, in education foreigners aren't really known for being able to avoid initial-animosity and dealing with the culture blocks. You do have to do a good deal of self preparation before venturing out to Japan for a semester. If you assume you'll just be taking college level classes while on a 15 week tour of Japan then you'll be sorely mistaken.
