A new gaming computer

So i am needing a new gaming computer. I don't really have that much money since i am just a student still. so i was wondering what kind of builds would be recommended by you guys that would hopefully not cost too much, but still play games in HD and preferably 60 fps on good settings. was also looking into this build http://www.komplett.no/pc-i-deler-battlefield-4-edition/798754
it is written in norweagian, so just scroll down to the parts. it costs 6500 norweagian crowns, so that is about 1065 american dollars. what do you think about this build? Curious about what kind of recommendations i can get.
this is also my first real gaming rig. Up until now, i have only owned a msi gt680.

That's one good build in your link. It has the basics covered with a full tower casing, reputable mobo, good CPU/GPU, and a fast memory. If the PSU can be upgraded to a 700W one and the SSD to Intel/Samsung brand then its a good deal. A 600W PSU might not suffice if your going to run the rig at high performance it might heat up quickly. Kingston NAND speed suffer from synchronous read/write which may impact games.

Why not take a look at Origin PC's, as long as you don't go crazy on the mods the cost won't be too bad.

That's a decent build for the money, but IMO if you do build that or one similar don't go with an SSD and go for a GTX 760. The R9 280x is slightly better but is also a good deal more expensive. As for the SSD there is no real gain to be had at the moment, if you don't make money from gaming then there is really no reason to have an ssd in a gaming rig. Yes boot up and programs start faster and your games load faster but to spend that kind of money for an ssd just to save a few seconds is a waste IMO. You will see no real world gains with an ssd.

Give me a budget to work with and i can give you a recommended spec list.kinda hard to say, since the prices are a bit different in norway as compared to america, but about 1500 us dollars, give or take. would like to not go much over that though, since i have a bit of a tight budget.

While mantle is nice, g-sync is even nicer, which is a new upcoming technology from nvidia and it removes stuttering, tearing and lag as we know it, basicly it makes it okay to not have a stable fps.
Edit: makes the fps smooth

Yeah, but for that, then i have to have TI gpu, and a g-sync monitor don't i? I'd like to keep this affordable.

You just need a 600 series or later nvidia gpu, and a g-sync monitor, but that is totally worth it, and a lot better than having mantle i think.
also i think nvidia is going to adopt mantle at some point.

I don't see more of a reason for nvidia to adopt mantle, than for amd to adopt g-sync. But with that said, i am seriously considering an nvidia gpu, i am just a bit conflicted still is all. i hate spending money on something and regretting it later.

Thats not limited. At all.
You could get a very decent machine for that money.
If your looking prebuilt, id suggest Digital Storm.

it is a good pc and quite cheap for the specs that are selected
if i do a custom build on a pc site with (almost) identical specs, i get a higher price.

Think that might be the PSU not being good enough, and a lack of a hdd, and operating system with it aswell. anyways the final price won't be the same.

You don't? mantle is open source, while g-syns is licensed and nvidia have never shared their technology's before.
and actually i would say PhysX is also a good selling point

If you can build your own tower, you can probably get away with about 1400 dollars. My computer is an acer that I tore apart and modified. It runs fine, and it only cost me about 2k. It's an awsome computer.

If I were to build another gaming Pc
I would use a cheaper AS rock motherboard
I would get a Black^2 HDD/SSD
I would get 2x 4gb 1600 mHz ram
I would get an AMD proccesor
And most importantly I would get an AMD 290 for Gpu
Hope that helps, If you have any questions I would love to help, I have built many computers. :D

No, the 290x is 629.99 usd and the 290 is 529.99 usd with minimal performance differences. Its better to spend the 100 on a ssd or a better processor that the x at the end of the 290.
