About VLC Player

I would like to ask C&T mod, Tegumi about VLC player. And I still can't understand why people took the S**t for hating it, that is why I didn't use it without knowing the reason, could someone give a real clear answer about this?

I only found this out recently, but the feedback is shit. tracking is also glitchy after you pause the clip.

Used to do stuff
Too lazy to write a tl;dr

Also the subtitle renderer is pretty shitty compared to those found in cccp.

How do I do handle files with hard dual subs? I use VLC for it and I get this weird video glitch through the duration of the episode and there are no subs for like a few secs. Is there an option to select language and such on MPC?

The reason being VLC uses their own codecs rather than the official or widely distributed ones. While they do achieve an almost perfectly on par render with mainstream codecs, the problem is that it is not THE same, and those problems are what cause people to give it so much flak.

vlc has everything packed to itself, its not honestly bad its just that its more like to fit in the term of get with the times? if you know what i mean... but i would suggest using
CCCP or
K-Lite Mega Codec Pack Im currently using K-lite but i was previously using CCCP. The reason why i moved to K-lite is that when i had this anime, i used CCCP the subs were turned to black and i couldnt read anything. So i moved to K-lite Mega Codec Pack and boom i could read it as clear as glass. Anyway the choice is up to you depending on what you want to use.

Have to remember that vlc is not a finished product, there are a few things I've noticed to not being done, like the bookmark feature, it was even admitted on there site that it was not completed yet.
In my opinion the shit's free, 100% free, and it plays video's without hassle, without annoying "Buy me" adds, without the lack of a nice assortment of options, including key assignments, speeding up slowing down video's adding effects right on top of your video, my favorite: Playlist's that are remarkably easy and you can save your playlist like any other video file. I mean, hate all you want about the glitching and such, but overall this program has delivered one of the finest free softwares I have seen. If your that serious about perfectness, spend doe.

What exactly are you "sayin"? You do realize lazy just debunked your little statement about having to spend money for perfection.

Plus, I'm pretty sure spending money is the most effective legal way of attaining perfection when it comes to software, or at least for macintosh.
But I'll have to try out some of the other programs listed here.

I usually use K-Lite Codec Pack and MPC-HC. I stopped using CCCP a long time ago and I don't have too definite of a reason other than updates.
Frankly I have VLC on my computer but I don't really use it. I just have to just have it. No real reason.
I would like to say that I've never fully understood why CCCP is still used despite the lack of updates it gets. I can't if it lacks updates because it simply doesn't need them or because the group just takes like a year to get around to updates.
I'll probably be persuaded by the next comment on technical reasons why to switch back to CCCP but most likely it won't happen because the ultimate conclusion will be that it doesn't matter which you choose in the end really.
Oh wait this topis was on VLC. I think I said I don't really care too much about it and I just have it on my computer to have it on the computer.

CCCP is also free, and like 100 times better. Lol.
I found VLC so horrible that I uninstalled it ages ago.

Ouch so much for VLC. But Mplayer is still cool right guys?yes, yes it is. I personally have mplayer for my laptop but for my gaming desktop its all this http://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htm downloaded the mega codec pack.
gives me my favorite codec and media player home classic for best quality.
I personally like k-lite more than cccp.
