I don't know honestly.
A true Otaku wouldn't pirate anime, methinks. (Guilty) While I try my best to buy series that I absolutely fall in love with, being in college doesn't really allow me the necessary budget to save up and buy anime the natural way.
Sure I have posters in my room, ranging from Oreimo, all the way to other series like Horizon in the middle of nowhere.
A body pillow? Sorry. No. It's not decent for this public situation. (Inb4 someone rants at me for this. Given my circumstances A body pillow is simply an inability)
Nenroids? Nope.
Dolls? Only a few. Oreimo (The main three) and a Miku doll that sit by my PC.
Epic-As-Shit PC? Nope. I have an Old Outdated Emachine that serves most of my purposes. While I'm working on upgrading dramtically, it's on the back burner for quite some time.
Mounds of Anime DVD's? As I said, I'm guilty of pirating more than my fair share. Out of all the anime i've DL'd I'm pretty sure I've only bought about $200-400 dollars worth of anime legitmately. They fit rather nicely in a small box container that is reserved just for them.
Closet full of manga is a no-go. I need space for my clothing. I have Manga, but they can fit within a drawer.
Cosplay...Well, let's say my closet has provided generic cosplay before. u.u
So am I an Otaku? Probably not. I'm your average-run-of-the-mill fan of Anime who appreciates it though. I wouldn't really mind to own more, but at the same time i'm rather content with what I have.
TL;DR: No. Probably not.

I'd say you've done better than I for sure, Tsukasa-san. But then again, I am in the lower class.Then indeed we're one and the same. Trust me, I had to budget like a crazy person to afford half of the things I possess that are anime-related.
What I'd really like to impart into you is that being an Otaku is a self-proclaimed title in reality. I call myself an Otaku even though there are many who would argue otherwise. Otaku literally means "House", if i'm not wrong. So what's the big deal in calling yourself a home or not? o.O;
Titles will always be nothing but titles. And sure, Japan might not like the term "Otaku" for now (albeit I can't see it being hated for very long) I live in America. Here, more than 75% Of the population has no idea what an "Otaku" is, and if they do, they usually attribute it to a geeky person or someone who's incredibly nerdy. So it's not like i'm gaining any real benefit by calling myself one. It's just a term I use to describe myself when i'm talking to other anime people so they have a general consensus of how much I adore anime.
