....and now it's happening to my friend.

I made a topic about a few weeks back about my PC starting up with just a black screen, cursor, and nothing else. Now it's happening to my friend and this time it's seems permanent. I've asked him to reboot it, but it is to no avail. I don't have his specs, but I was wondering if you can help me.

Boot from safe mode and run you av and chdisk scans. Could be a lot of things.

Happened to me a few years back, turned out the video card had died.

Can be that his video card died, is what i would first think. Try bootin in safe mode, if that dosent work try pluggin his monotor into a diffrent slot on the back of his computer maybe
