anime is satan

There is a page on facebook titled, "anime is satan", and its focus has been talking about how bad anime is and how bad it affects people and we should try to get rid of it. To turn it off and go out there and live your life instead.

Some arguments there have been that it secludes people and its like an escape for a lot of them. Like weed or drugs, depending on what the person is dealing with, they end up getting restricted only to that world - like their world revolves just around anime.

Some have said, it portrays women in such unrealistic ways and overly sexualized, unless it is like that in Japan which I would never know. I do know from some who lived in Japan that women there are objectified, unless htings changed.

Good arguments have been that it teaches them things? That they wanted to kill themselves and anime gave them a reason to live. Some merely say theres a lot of violence in it and its just fun, sex too.

Oh yeah, that page is actually just a troll lol page, its NOT serious but for some reason so many 'otaku's get so offended by it.

Me I like anime of course, Ive been watching for years now.

What do you think? Is anime bad for people or is it actually good? Whats your experience with it like?

Long as you're still able to differentiate between Fantasy and Reality there's no harm in it.

For your entire post, replace the word 'anime' with: books, movies, thoughts. Works everytime for shit like that.

Fuck, when I think about it I would say that Jersey Shore is probably more intellectually stimulating than HOTD, and that's saying a lot.

Anyways, it really depends on the judgement of the viewers on whether they should consider the media to be evil or not since we all have different likes and dislikes.

Books other than the bible, independent thoughts, art, science, culture and technology are works of the Devil, or st least that's what fundamentalists think. By their logic, all hail Satan, he apparently is the root of human society and achievement. Lumping anime into the group just adds to a laundry list of art forms the Devil is involved with.

What has Jesus ever done for anyone? Find their car keys? Let the Giants win the superbowl? From what I understand he's a rather lazy diety, offering "salvation" for his worship and idling by for millennia. Satan's been busy helping, guiding and enabling human society to reach great heights. Of course it's all rubbish, but from that prospective, "go Satan".
