So I was in the studio today recording some stuff with my band. And I was just wondering if there were any other Fakku!-users with their own band/solo projects?
I thought it would be interesting to hear what other people do, and it would be nice if we could share some of our own music and info :) So what bands are you involved in? What is the bands/projects name and what do you play in it?
Well I'll start. I'm currently in three bands.
SinCrave - Where I play drums
Lain - Where I play rythm Guitar and sing
Even mermaids can drown - A joke project between me and my little brother :P Where I play whatever feels right.
I don't have any studio recorded materials to show yet since we are currently in the studio, but I got a video from one of our live performances:
Sorry if there already is a topic like this.

Well I played in a ska band called 'The Holy Hand Grenades'. I played Trombone first run, and from there, Bass on the second run.
When that band departed, a few friends on msn and facebook formed Bullet Philharmonic Orchestra [yes I know that is also the name of a video game, I intended that]. I send out sheet music and mix everyone's recordings together.

I was in a strings orchestra. But I've never been in any band with friends or stuff like that. I play'd double bass that way

I used to be back in the day. I even have old VHS rehearsal videos of my band, Mental Overload which then became Inquisitor. Okay, actually my old drummer has the VHS material and I hate that douche nozzle, so there's no luck getting it back. Like SLAYER NEXUS, I'm into metal and so was my band. We played something along the lines of Exodus (bay area thrash) and had some atmospheric stuff that sounded not all that dissimilar from Alice in Chains.
The band broke up due to a big fight that started over the direction of the music and a personal feud that started between me and the drummer. There was this hilarious rehearsal video though of me punching the bassist for ruining a great run of a song we were working on by sticking a drumstick in my ear during a guitar solo. :D

Of course it counts :D Sounds interesting, would love to hear something from it! I previously played in a Big Band for 4 years, which was an awesome experience and I developed very much musically from it.

I've been in 2 bands one was a Metalcore band, where i did vocals, and my current one is a punk band. Now I do a little bit of vocals but mostly guitar and i fill in on bass when my friend cant make it. And we do the occasional blink 182 covers because i love them so fucking much.

Me and my friends tried to start a band, wrote a few songs. Never really turned serious.
These are the only two song we ever recorded. (I play bass)

I also made myself an acoustic cover of Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc." (3 guitars, bass and drums, drums added in Cubase, the rest is played by me)

Not the best music out there, but at least it doesn't hurt your ears.

You're vocalist has a soothing voice, she could calm a rabid dog with that. I.. kind of expected the music to be in german because that's where you guys are right? dunno lol.

Yeah, our singer is our main asset lol. People totally dig her, guess that's why we get any gigs in the first place, haha...
Since we mainly covers, most of our songs are indeed in English. I can't remember a song we played in German though, but I guess that's because our music charts aren't than different from the US ones.

Me and my friends are TRYING to make a band, but sadly, my friend can't decide whather he wants guitar or bass. He's played bass for a long time, and he's pretty good at it, but my other friends wants bass, so he's thinking of moving to guitar to take his place. Then there's pur singer.
Ugh.
I'm by far the most talented one in the band, really. :|

The drummer? lol does that even compute?

It's rare to see people fighting over who gets to play the bass though... usually it's like, the worse guitarist is made to pick up the bass if they can't find one.
