Anyone interested in weekly art design challenges?
0
On a number of Art Forums i'm part of, They run activities called Weekly Art challenges. Usually these involve a subject matter being presented every week. They usually have a deadline where all art designs need to be turned in by (as the name suggests its usually on a week to week basis). The activity is supposed to present a design challenge and also be kind of a fun group thing.
The challenge is to present a different subject matter every week. Usually a different person selects the subject matter for the next week. Anyhow i'm wondering if this sounds like an interesting activity to anyone, there'd need to be at least three to four participants for it to go anywhere. If there is enough interest i will convert this thread into a Suggestions thread for the first weekly challenge.
The nature of this activity is similar to situations you'd come across when working for a professional studio. So it's good practice for that as well for anyone who is trying to break into the industry.
I should elaborate that this will be character related.

I am interested in doing this. Need an excuse to keep drawing through my sparadic burn out periods. I bloody missed out on the graphic design contest because of it and I won't let that happen again!

You already know I'll do it.
I thought we were already doing something similar?
Or is this considered a bit different.

i thought of running it through the study group but the nature of this Art stuff wouldn't really fall under the category of studies. It's more of a creative problem solving activity.

Ah, alright.
Since this seems to be more character driven, ill give it a shot.

We have 5 interested parties so far, we could potentially work with that amount. If maybe two or three more people voice an interest in it we can open up a suggestion thread to get going. We'd probably want at least 8, since chances are people are going to be busy certain weeks and won't be able to participate etc.

this sounds fun, mind if i join?the idea is to have a weekly activity where people are just allowed to jump in whenever they please. So you don't really need to ask, i'm just making this thread to see if there are enough parties interested to even take this off the ground.
