Are we controlled

sometimes it feels like I'm trapped in a snow-globe. Even if I travel to another country, it feels so surreal.
Maybe this is because I'm a girl, but my mood switch is like a cheat in a sims game. some of my irl relationships are way to good, so much sex and luck.
am I the only one that feels like this?

I refuse to believe that we are set on a pre-destined or pre-conceived path as this removes from me my sense of self and fills me with doubt.
"Did I really choose to join this site above the number of other forums that I could've joined on my own or was it pre-destined that I would?" and afterwards "Do I really like hentai or was that something also pre-destined?"
I want to believe that all my actions are my own, I made them based on my own thoughts and interests. The whole idea also, makes too easy for one to escape responsibility for what they've done in the past. That isn't to say that concept was made and used solely for that purpose but it can be used like that and personally I think that is the dominant reason for using it.
I like to think of it this way; Is it our destiny as the human species to advance technology and evolve our lifestyle to such an extent where we're basically claiming the entire landscape of the world for ourselves, destroying the homes of species as well as the species themselves to an extent where we may come close to destroying the entire planet?
If that's destiny, destiny is FUCKED!

I'm not saying that it's pre-written, only that we are more or less a game for a bigger being. Like a rpg on a bigger scale

While indeed different to things being pre-destined or written, it's still the same principle of 'our decisions aren't ours' in which case my opinions regarding said principle still stands.
It is essentially unsolvable, at least in our current circumstances, to prove whether or not we're actually being controlled by a greater being. I would consider it a long shot possibility but the idea is entertaining(has been presented in media before).
To the original question, have I ever felt I was being controlled? I could safely say no.

Like a rpg on a bigger scaleSo, every action from eclipses, lost galaxies and supernovas all the way to the exact number of seconds you take to write a post on a fapping website is controlled by a bigger being? That is probably the ugliest, most disgusting and terrifying idea I've ever heard. And it's a remarkable thing that there is absolutely no reason to believe it to be true.

Think more along the lines of "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time" like. If your not familiar with that, think of something along the lines of "Matrix" meets "The Truman Show".
OT: Dunno, the idea that there is more to reality than what exist is hard to fathom since it has never existed to us before. The extent of free will, for each of us, is what only each individual knows. What is "free will to me" may differ from what is "free will to you". Being unable to prove each others "free will" already leaves us at a disadvantage with nothing, outside our very own, to compare too.
Going away from philosophy, there is manipulation of individuals.

Companies learn what people like, and then uses those to sell you things, example: such as food, clothes, smells, ect... to men by plastering scantily clad women on them.
Going back to the above, science is trying to find out, if free will and true random, truly exist. While the answer hasn't been found, they have done some test on the affect of believing either way. People were found to commit misdeeds more readily given the idea that they are less responsible for the choices they make. Rather our choices are our own or not, it is better, for the human race, to believe that they make their own choices, for the time being.
"...how can I feel guilty for a misdeed when it wasn't my choice in the first place?"
Long Story Short: Free will has been something questioned by both philosophers and scientist for hundreds of years... No answer exist currently.

The question anyone who starts to think about this should ask themselves is this: Does it matter? Even if we are controlled, even if our lives are predetermined from the very beginning, does it hinder our ability to enjoy ourselves? It hasn't for me. Ultimately this discussing this changes nothing about people's lives or what they make of them so I say, have fun, whether or not you were destined to anyway.

I strongly disbelieve that any of our personal actions are out of our hands, unless we have a specific disease from birth that inhibits our ability to use our motor skills, or conduct some recognizable form of speech. And even then, our actions, at least, the ones within our control, are still not predetermined.
I have always thought I should kill myself, just about every day of my life, until around my 18th birthday, back in 2009. I could have chosen to, many times, I could have taken the easy way out, but I didn't. Was it because I didn't have the ability?
Nope. I'm a well-trained martial artist, Killing myself would be a simple task and take no effort. I know at least eight painless ways to commit suicide just off the top of my head.
I believe, the reason I didn't commit suicide, and kept holding on, despite have no goals or aim in life, and suffering at the hands of both my parents, and, until I showed my abilities in my junior year of high school, my peers as well.
But even when I had better martial arts skills than most normal people, I was still a novice compared to my brother, and all except 2 students in class. Even my sensei was disappointed in my abilities from time to time, despite how hard I worked to achieve them.
But I found something someone said to me to be highly useful in dealing with my life - and I quote - "If someone knocks you down, stand up and fight. If someone spits on you, spit back twice. If someone stabs you, lop off their head."
... although the meaning of those words was really questionable, I understood what she meant. She meant that I had to get past my difficulties and continue in life, because if I keep giving up, I'll never find out what I'm truly capable of.
And that leads me back to the 'destined to act like this' topic. I believe that yes, our actions are affected by the actions of others, as well as our past, but our future is something we hold in our own hands, and it's up to us to make it bright or dark.

I'd have to agree 100%.
I've never thought anything in my life was predestined, it's all by choice, saying something is predestined, is almost like blaming faults on something completely made up, and then saying the things you have achieved wasn't really you, it was given to you. If you sit back and choose to do nothing, you'll gain nothing, but if you choose to do something, you'll achieve many things.

Matrix is standing in as the "virtual world", and The Truman Show as the "intelligence made for entertainment".

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

And yes, I find it quite easy to imagine it - but I think absolute (and perhaps divine) authority can't get any scarier than it is in its basic form.

Uhm... FYI, There is no such thing as "Way too good"
you just pretty much have your life sorted out.
(Judging by what you said in your post)
Your health/wealth/relationships are all
being maintained by the effort you put
into them, which kind of proves that you
are the one in control of your own
life. We are being monitored though, but
it's not like we are being controlled/guided So
we will take certain pre-destined choices.
P.S. You either watch too much anime or THIS
