As a kid what movie gave you a temporary irrational fear?

When I was 6 I saw Deep Rising and the toilet scene made me scared to sit on the toilet (For a day).It definitely didn't help that the toilet was making strange noises. It's stupid I know but I was 6, so did anything give you a temporary irrational fear as a kid?

Man, just looking at one gives me goosebumps, what with the fake painted smiles and all. Ugh.

i don't think any movie has ever made me afraid of something.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure gave me a fear of semi-truck drivers. Fucking Large Marge.

You know, I didn't really think much of it when I saw it (other than "that's awesome"), but subliminally my mind might have made a connection. xD

Hellraiser. Shit made me scared of needles.

Jaws, made me afraid of sharks for awhile.

Toy Story. I was getting paranoid around my mistreated power ranger action figures.

It has only been on extremely rare occasion where a film has left a lingering fear or unease on me, the last example I can remember is with the Japanese ringu ~ that stupid eye, and how it looked creeped me out so much! (despite honestly, most of the film not really being that scary / shocking at all).

Child's motherf*ckin Play.I still get goosebumps when I see Chucky.

E.T gave me nightmares and if I saw him unsuspectingly I would scream lasted till I was 16 I think weirdly as a kid I watched "Nightmare on Elm Street" and other horror movies and never had a problem with them.

I think the talking toilet from "Look Who's Talking" freaked me out for a bit too.

The previews for Hollow Man, Volcano, Twister, and Small Soldiers all scared the crap out of me, best I can recall...

Also, I saw Jaws one summer (on the island of Martha's Vineyard where it was filmed, no less!)... knowing it took place so close scared me for a long time. ;-;

For some reason, Telly Tubbies used to scare the shit out of me when I was young.

Jurassik park 1: I knew long ago that dinosaurs were extinct, but the movie still scared the crap out of me when I was a kid... especially


Tremors: After I watched this, for about a month, I always looked at the ground, everywhere, to see if something was moving.

Jaws: Fucking scared of going "too far" into the water whenever I went to the beach for a few years after watching this movie.




Small Soldiers..? The movie where the kid's toys come to life and it's the Soldiers vs... The animals (or something like that)?

Yes, the "Soldier Toys VS Alien Race".
The scary part is indeed The Soldier Barbies... lol. Seriously, Moving Toys is indeed scary to a level, much more scarier if they want to rule the world.
