I haven't yet decided if I want to have kids. Besides the thought of contorting my body to pop the thing out, the selfish side of me...would rather enjoy my life than having to take care of someone else. But I don't know how I'll feel in 2 years or 5 years, so I guess we'll see.

For now, kids are nice...but only if I can give them back to their parents after a couple of hours.

i don't hate babies, but they don't stay babies forever. my beef w/ the whole thing is unecessary child births as population just increases causing madd problems. i respect planned parenthood but idiots making babies left and right is just down right problematic.

There are alot of people I know around my age who have had a kid or two or are pregnant. Bare in mind I'm 21, so I'm just like... "What exactly is the rush?". Then again, Britain is the worst in Europe for teenage to young pregnancies.

I'm sure that the feeling of becoming a father to your own child is indescribable, but the novelty soon wears off as soon as it begins to cry ear-blisteringly loud nonstop at all times of the day and night and shits itself. I'm just not ready yet, I want to wait another 10 years or so, or until I know I'm ready.

worry like hell ya i agree just don't tell any one but my grandmother order us to teach my niece and any girl born in my mother side to fight and how to break and dislocate bone for self protection so i kind not worry since my niece is being watch and friends of some of my juniors/buddy's

No not right now, being a father is more difficult than it seems.

Having kids isn't for everyone, so it isn't anything major if you don't become a father.

I wanna have a boy and a girl ... But after I'm 35+ ... Because kids cost money and you also gotta spend time with them... So first things first. Gotta graduate, work... You know, stabilize my life.
I also think that, having kids require a certain "growth", you know ... getting older and all ... So that you may be more experient... Wiser, and educate your children better.

Anyway, I think I'll be a great dad because I learned a lot with my parents, friends, and other people out there. And, as I already said, I wanna spend a good time with them... My father was kinda absent in my life, working hard and all. So I know what may happen if I'm not present in my children's life, either playing with them, having a good time or teaching them (sharing my thoughts and experiences).

If you want a child, you should wait until you've established a career. But having a baby is tiring... like really really tiring, and you'll have to stress over your child for the rest of your life.

I dont want children now and I hope that I'll never want them enough to start making babies. If I ever want to have a baby, I hope it doesnt matter that much to me if its my own or adopted. Because there's loads of illnesses running in my family (and my boyfriend's too) like depression, heart problems, diabetes, panic disorder, narcissism, alcoholism and so on. So imo it would be a bit selfish of me to make children when I know that they'd most likely have at least one of those.
I know that the adopted children may have them as well, but why would I want to let more ill people be born to this world when I can just as well try to adopt a baby that has already been born to this world and doesnt have a family.

just the other day I was thinking about having a baby (when/if my husband gets the permanent visa and that should be in a few months) and it was actually the first time that I didn't panic or get a ugly feeling deep inside...I don't think that this one time will be enough to really do it, but I'm getting there...I have the right age, the right job, perfect timing to ruin my life no....

It's normally the opposite advise your young enjoy your self don't fuck it up with knocking some one up!

OP if I were in your shoes I would have replied back with:
A)"Are you interested in that position?" and they would have probably sued my balls to the wall for sexual harassment.
B)"You guys are idiots" and end it with that.

Anyways as for babies, no, not anytime soon. I'm pretty good with them, but I don't really like em'. Besides having a kid is not like having a dog, Its a HUGE responsibility. That being said I would like a kid someday and I do picture myself being a good dad.
