Beginners tablet connection problems

I got an android tablet (lenova) as a present. I'm trying to send files using bluetooth. I was able to connect my laptop to it and when I have selected a file and click send my tablet makes sound and says I have an incoming file request. So I click the notification and nothing happens and it disappers. When I "scroll" the notificaton log open it doesn't say anything about a notification. Soon my computer says in was unsuccesfull and my tablet has a notification that leads to bluetooth downloads/uploads and it has a log that a file was not downloaded.
So my question is how do I accept that damn file request? I've googled this but was unable to solve the problem.
My other question is that can I use bluetooth to get internet connection from my laptop and if so then how? I know it's possible from a phone but I can't find any way to do it from my laptop. I have a huawei modem that uses a usb port for a single address so I cannot use the wifi I have on the tablet.

can we get the model number/range you have
Trying to send file via Bluetooth is slow, you should just connect by usb to the laptop and drag and drop the file
you can not use Bluetooth to get internet on the tablet,

If you're sending large files, connecting via USB or using a memory cards may be the best answer.
For small files like photos and some MP3's, I would suggest AirDroid.

Thanks for your answers guys. I forgot I asked this since I've been busy.
So I have a Lenovo S6000L and model 60049.
It doesn't have a usb port so using that is not an option but that airdroid seems quite good.

Are you sure? I just checked Lenovo's website and it said it did. How does it charge? I have an older Lenovo tablet and it's charger ends in a USB plug and that's how I hook it up to my PC. Either way, it should have a Micro SD card slot which could help down the line since your model only has 16GB memory.
