Anyone train in that style? For the last few months I've been training at least 3 days a week. It's such a part of my life that if I miss more then 2 days in a row, I start to feel really lethargic and lazy; like I'm letting my body waste away.
I like how this art isn't reflex based. A more advanced practitioner is setting up techniques, 2-3 movies in advance and a lot of times, if the guy is good enough you'll know what he is going for but you still aren't able to stop it. A lot of emphasis is placed on being able to control a guy on the ground and put yourself in a position where you can execute techniques on the opponent while he cannot counter. this is the safest way to fight and helps cut down on the chance your opponent can catch you with something lucky.

Sounds like fun. I've learned traditional martial arts, but currently move to a place no place to learn. This style sounds like my kind of dish. A few punches or low kicks, get in close with your opponent, take a few hit and with luck, BANG! your opponent is now napping on the floor. Is your dojo more of a MMA style or traditional? Careful when practicing throws, make sure you know your partner well. And don't forget to tap, cuz you do not want any snap.
I posted a link of my favorite traditional martial art. See if you can understand or learn anything by watching it. This style emphasizes on close encounter body slam. It's a anti-throw technique.
