Seems like a new Shinki design have appeared, one seems to be a Centaur and I'm not sure about the other one, a sheep/herder girl?

Well hope you have decided on the Shinki you want to buy, nocchi. Depending on the region, the Shinki sold in Amiami are pretty cheap. I bought them cheaper than I could buy in my country.

Okay, lots of update info for Busou Shinki.

New shinki's
-Gabrine and Renge. Designed by Yotshisune Izuna(Gunbuster 2)
Gabrine is type Cerberus and Renge is type Kitsune.


These Shinki's are out for pre-orders. Early preorder for Gabrin and Renge will get you special clear parts for the weapons.

-Type Valkyrie Altrene and Altines. Designed by Uon Taraku(Gundam 00P) Takayuki Yanase aka Windfall(Gundam 00)
I was thinking of getting only Altrene but after looking at one of the review and found out the designer for them I just have to get them both. I had no problem getting Altrene however getting Altines is a challenge since you have to go through proxy service to get her being a Konamistyle/Degenki Hobby exclusive which I did and won the bid at Yahoo Auction Japan. But my wallet just died just trying to get this two...

Just got released yesterday. Came bundled with Busou Shinki Battle Masters game for the PSP. It was a though choice for me between getting the Valkyrie sisters or these 2 due to my limited budget. I decided to go with the Valkyrie sisters after much thinking. I'm not fond of straf MKII head gear but I stillw anted to get them both or maybe wait for a MK II or MK IV. XD
-Only obtainable through proxy services or if you are lucky enough Ebay but expect be paying a lot for it...

Game.
-Busou Shinki Battle Masters
The game is out. The game looks like Virtua On/ Armored Core style of gameplay where you pit your Shinkis against other CPU/Player Shinkis.


Otomedius X/Excellent
-Side scrolling shooter game for XBox 360. Arnval and Straf will appear as bonus character and so is a female Belmont from Castlevania game. Characters are designed by Yoshizaki Mine(Keroro Gunso, Game Girl Fubuki).



Yes, they are Riding Vic Vipers and one of them have Twinbee units.

Battle Rondo
-Altines, Altrene, Arnval MKII and Straf MKII is playable in the game which is pretty odd considering there are previous wave Shinkis that are still not released yet in the game
-Using Altrene and Altines code will give you premium bonus for 24 hour for each Shinki code you use. I have a feeling the same with Arnval MK II and Straf MKII.

Waiting for the next Shinki Wave to come out. Wonder if they will have a wave designed by Katoki Hajime or Akitaka Mika the father of S Girls . If they do it would be awesome.

These things are so cool! I think I'm going to buy one. Where did you acquire yours?

I got mine from many different sources. The first 3 I got it from the local toy store. The next 3 I got it from Amiami you can also get them from HLJ though they really sold out pretty fast recently. I got Altrene from Ebay. Altines is through proxy service such as Tokyobuyers, I'm still waiting far mail on shipping payment. If you are in America you could find them in toy or comic conventions or you could check your local comic store for it.

I also need to add that there are Full Set Shinki and EX Weapon Set Shinki. EX weapon set don't come with a body, only the head and the weapons/armor parts except for Zelnogard and Limited Edition Tsugaru. So its better to get the Full Set Shinkis if you are buying a Shinki for the first time.

Anyway finally paid my shipping payment for Altines. I have to say I never spent that amount of money for a figure. But damn Altines is too hard to resist.


More updates on Busou Shinki.

Konami will be selling Yukata's for the figure at the Summer Wonderfest. You can buy it in set with naked body type which they will come in a special tote bag. I might read it wrongly but you will also get a secret Shinki if you purchase the set.

Konami will announce four new Busou Shinki figures in the summer Wonderfest. The 2 should be the Ram and Sheep/Spider/Octopus? Shinki that have been reported a while back while the other 2 is secret. Also Takayuki Yanase will be there too, I wonder if the 2 Shinki is designed by him. If it is that would be a problem since I'm a fan of his work and I'm not sure if I have money to buy more new Shinki's. Also hoping those 2 won't be exclusives.

Hey Temcor is there a trick to get rid of that shine on the figures and make it look more matted?

Those are soon to be released Shinki's that Konami displayed in Wonfes few weeks ago. I really liked the blue and the pink animal type Shinki. From what I gathered the two are called Raptias and Artille. Designed by Kakoi Kazuhiko who seems to be an acquaintance of Yanase, Fumikane and Tanimeso. Since I have Shinkis designed by these people, this is a must get for me.

Btw, I finally got my hands on Altrene and Altines. I'm so happy!


Unfortunately for me my Altines chest have some kind of burnt mark which I think is paint someone messed up during production. It seems that I can remove it but I need to get more advice before doing something I truly regret. Other than that these 2 are the best looking Shinkis in my collection and with the new MMS 3rd body makes the body looks more nicer compare to older Shinki figure. Of course the best of all is Altines expression, oh how I love her expression. I'm really happy despite the wallet killing price...





I'm not much of an expert when it comes to painting figures but I think there are special coating spray that you can use to give the plastic more of a matte look. I'm pretty sure there are certain techniques like layering the coating or something for it. I guess you'll get more answer asking people who paint their figures. Sorry can't be of much help there.
