Can you recommend any hip-hop/rap?

I've never liked rap, but I think that's because I haven't heard of any of the good stuff. I mostly listen to punk rock because I love how it critique's modern society. Punk is great because its pure anger put into music, its like an accumulation of all the anger kids have with society/the government. I think rap has potential to have this same voice, but all the mainstream stuff is about sex and materialism. Are there any MCs that you think might appeal to me?
