So err....I cant view certain websites these days. I think my isp has blocked them. Using a online proxy right now.(Hidemyass) but its really slow...
is there anything I can do/download to let me view these sites? Some music sharing websites are also blocked...

Maybe you're blocked for a reason. As in you broke the rules to those sites or you're at a school and they don't allow those sites in which case you shouldn't risk getting your computer quarantined.

nope....my friends have the same problem as well. we dont excess these sites from school either.
i think my isp has blocked them...and changing to a new one is not an option as from where i come from theres only 1 decent 1. =/

From what i know, the government does block certain sites and network for porn, descent from the people on the PM iron fist and violations on Islamic moral and laws or something like that. Practically speaking, censoring a website only brings attention to it, and if the content is available via other urls, then the censorship is next to worthless.
This does, however, bring a sober reminder that Malaysia may claim to provide a censorship-free Internet, in fact they do not.
