Been working almost all day-dunner so I haven't had much of a chance to do anything.

MMMMMMMMASIVE UPDATE, PEEPS.
Thats whay I get for ignoring this thread for so bloody long.
A lot of these a feel of you have seen, and I'm mpstly just dumping these here to keep the rest of you current on my zeta slow progress.
I will eventually update the front page/title as well, hopefully a little later.

This is a little old, but still recent as far as this thread idea concerned.
This was after meeting a comic artist (whom I feel stupid for forgetting his name) and was teaching me how to draw in a different style. We traded ideas and this was tge result, a more realistic version of my protagonist from my webcomic.
A quickie I did on my whiteboard to keep me motivated. About as old as the previous pic.
Another one around the same time. Its Sakura from Street Fighter. If I remember correctly, I was pretty drunk when I was drawing this.
The character name escapes me now, but I know she's from Hard Corps: Uprising, a spiritual successor to Contra. Even though she was a melee based character, she actually played pretty well and was real strong after a bit of practice.
Cane sugar... Its the shit.
A quick couple of character sketches from the webcomic. This one in particular is a nun's, but its a front to cover up her true identity as a weapon of God.
A quick sketch of the general ways I draw characters. This is around the same time as the initial pics.
These are preliminary sketches for a C.Viper ero-drawing I was commissioned to do... Which reminds I still have a ton left to do... Ugh.
A sketch of a friend done in sharpie and pencil. That took about 10 minutes. Was on a roll that day.
Another sketches of my protagonist, Emily. This was for a trade with Antw0n since I don't think he knew what she looked like. Still need to finish up my half of the trade (...he's going to kill me, I know.)
This is very recent. In the comic, there are two timelines going on, the past and the present. This one in particular is from the past timeline and theres a little story I may post for her in the future if I manage to finish it. She's a very important character in the past, and somewhat important in the present one.
This came shortly after the previous one. She's the younger sister of the other character as well, and pretty much just as important.
Another character from the comic. This one, however, is from the present timeline. I wasn't too pleased with the end result as I feel I didn't get him exactly how I pictured him. He's a half-breed that can manipulate and control fire to a precise degree. He's a bad guy
Excuse the fuzzy quality on this one. Another bad character from the present timeline. She was formerly handicapped, but put her powers (her being a technopath and the ability to manipulate and controls electricity) to good use and had prosthetics made to replace her bad limbs. These news limvs make her a very dangerous foe. As to why I drew her naked... I just felt like it.

A couple of drawings I did using photo refs. Mostly just experimenting with using pens again and sharpies as I learned that I can do similar shading with them instead of using my more expensive markers... Which helps my broke ass.

It's working now all of a sudden, though for a big clump update it might be better to use Imagebam or Imagevenue. And goddamnit i need to buy you a scanner for christmas or something.

I noticed on a lot of your more planned sketches the characters seem more rigid. The better ones are the ones that are done loosely. If you plan out something to much you don't leave a lot of room for happy mistakes. C-viper is one of the loose ones i'm talking about, the poses overall are more natural and have more gesture/liveliness. Of course Proportion and Anatomy are important but you need a little chaos for things to go splendidly.

That's something that kind of takes a lot of time to come to grips with. I'm still having a lot of problems with it. Controlled Chaos basically.
