I feel that there is a distinct lack of appreciation for Chinese music here.
So if you follow any sort of Chinese Music you are welcome here!
Ill start out with a popular Favourite
Tong Hua/Fairy Tale - Michael Wong/Guang Liang.

Being one of the few Chinese members of fakku (if not the only one) this topic is made for me
The songs that u guys said are all mandarin songs, I'm more familiar with Cantonese songs as I live in Hong Kong(the only few remaing places that still uses cantonese), don't under estimate Hong Kong! we got ALOT of talent! Jacky Chan ,Bruce Lee(RIP),Jet Li,Stephen Chow(King of Comedy), John Woo,and lots of other Asia wide famous singers
I will post the Chinese name of the song with the translation, and fuck the pinyin!(*sigh* I will try... Cantonese{9 tones} is harder than mandarin{4 tones})
盧巧音 Candy Lo
好心分手 "Be kind and break up"
è½åœ°é–‹èб "Bloosm when it falls on the ground"
逆æ’玫瑰 "Reversed rose"
垃圾 "Rubbish"
Ping Pung
愛是最大權利 "Love is the biggest priority"
陳奕迅 Eason Chan
KæŒä¹‹çŽ‹ "The king of karaoke songs"
明年今日 "Next year on this day"
Lonely Christmas
夕陽無é™å¥½ "Sunset is infinately good"
浮誇 "Exageration"
富士山下 "Under mount Fuji"
å³é›¨éœ Kary Ng
æ„›ä½ è®Šæˆæ¨ä½ "Love you turns to hate you"
座å³éŠ˜ "Motto"
楊åƒå¬… Miriam Yeung
坿ƒœæˆ‘是水瓶座 "Too bad I am Aquarius"
è™•è™•å» "Kiss everywhere"
å°åŸŽå¤§äº‹ "Little city, big affair"
é•·ä¿¡ä¸å¦‚çŸè¨Š "Long letter is not better then a SMS"
烈女 "Famous women in history"
å´ç”° Justin Lo
命硬 "Hard life"
好人 "Good guy"
Kong
æƒ…æŒ "Love song"
æƒ…æ°¸è½ "Love falls forever"
男人KTV "Man's Karaoke TV"
䏉志¥ "30 days"
美麗之最 "Beautiful-est of all"
The Best for the Last (Lyrics are AWESOME, if you know what they mean)
Beyond (You never listened to Cantonese songs unless you listened to their's) {band} disbanded due to the accidental death of thier leader in 1993 officaly disbanded in 2008
I had love to say all their songs are my favorite, but some of them really really stand out...
The BEST of the BEST: 海闊天空 "The Beautiful world of freedom"
ç„¡è²çš„告別 "Silent good bye"
無盡空虛 "Endless void"
我是憤怒 "I'm exasperation"
æ²æœˆç„¡è² "Years silently gone by"
å…‰è¼æ²æœˆ "The Glorious years"
Amani
å†è¦‹ç†æƒ³ "Goodbye ideal"
there are alot more good songs... but these ones here are a bit old already... the newest being Justin's 30 days... the recent HK music is covered in shitty lyrics...

the recent HK music is covered in shitty lyrics...
yea, i totally agree with that statement... Songs by those like Jacky Cheung are awesome! I'm Chinese but (sadly) don't know how to read... I speak Cantonese too and a wee bit of Mandarin xD

I only can't write chinese... can't even write my own damn name, that really sucks. i only studied chinese untill grade 2 in elementry then i got switched out to an international school, my mandarin is shit too. So I guess I failed pretty much as a Chinese

Haha i can relate! Ever since ive moved out of China my Cantonese and Mandarin have slowly gone down the drain. I can still understand it, but speaking it is a whole different story.
Anyways an old favorite Cantonese classic of mine.

I'm Chinese in blood but by blood only, went to a Chinese school but didn't even study so I can't understand Mandarin nor write. I understand a bit of Chinese, really a bit, cause my parents talk to me using Chinese but I reply to them with English...so I can't even speak Chinese...damn, really regretting on not studying Mandarin and Chinese.
