Classical Guitar & Nylon String Guitarists
1
I thought it would be ok if I start up a thread to discuss classical guitar and classical guitarists people here like. (We can throw in flamenco guitarists while we're at it.) Granted, perhaps a small group of the Fakku community may go with this niche, but it would still be nice to explore this genre even more.
For classical guitars, I'm all over the place but Baroque stuff transcribed to the guitar is what I'm paying attention to more nowadays. For example, JS Bach's Chaconne in D minor.
That's not to say I don't like some lighthearted stuff. I dig the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, with their spin on Pachabel's Canon in D dubbed "Loose Canon" being a favorite.
As for Flamenco, I look up to Paco de Lucia. I'll just leave this here on that note- some good stuff with Al di Meola from his album Elegant Gypsy:
Anyways.... ....if you have any stuff on classical or flamenco guitars you dig, feel free to share and talk about it here. T'is the basic point of this thread.

Well, for classical guitar, I much prefer Latin pieces, like Romance de Espana or Espana Cani. Salsa, samba and tango style music are good as well. And to be honest, I don't really pay much attention to the musicians who played this kind of music, so I don't really have any favorite classical guitar player.
As for the guitar itself, I actually prefer steel string as I like how it sounds, but for personal usage, I use nylon stringed one cause I like fingering (why does it sound so dirty?). Fingering on steel stringed guitar hurts my fingers.

Nice! And Lason Rollis has some ridiculously clean playing, even more impressive when you try to maintain clarity with some of those swept arpeggios.
Speaking of fast, have you ever listened to Paco de Lucia? He's a flamenco guitarist I look up to for his crazy speed especially with his picado runs
One of his songs "Entre Dos Aguas"
Spoiler:
And here's his take on a Brazilian choro called "Tico Tico no Fuba"

Back to more classical stuff, I'll just leave this here. some good old Paganini:
